Westley's 6 Month Photos | Spokane

You guys, this post was pure torture! Seriously. You know why?! Because all the CUTE! How could I possibly narrow down the photos?! All the different expressions, the rolls, the falling over, the animal buddies, omg!! I just can't handle it. Also, Westley has a very special place in my heart having done his birth photos and now all his first year milestones. It's such a joy and a treat to watch him grow over the year - how is it flying by so fast?! Again, another reason why I am in love with the Baby's First Year Collection. Westley | Newborn Photos | Spokane

This session is a first. This was the first time I shot in my home. My spare room turned in-home studio. I've decided it's perfect. The light is amazing and has yet to do me wrong! Can't wait to show you more families using this in-home setup. :)

In the meantime, here is sweet mister Westley's newborn photos. You may remember his birth photos here and maternity session here. I am beyond thankful to these three - their friendship, their love for each other and family. Westley is a sweet, sweet boy who will always be surrounded in love. These photos were taken of him only 10 days news. I can't wait to photograph his milestones in his first year (yay Baby Collection package!). Enjoy some snuggly wuggly newborn photos today!

P.S. I had to include the photo of his mom brushing his hair, not only because his hair is so cute, but because that is what calmed him down and lulled him back to sleep! lol So cute.

Birth Story of Westley | Spokane Birth Photography

So happy to share with you the birth story of little mister Westley. I could not say enough about how much I love this family and the entire birth experience they shared with me. To have a couple trust me to be in their birth space is a pretty incredible thing. How am I so lucky?! The evening was perfect. Sarah was amazing and fought through to deliver an amazing little boy. In between contractions she was asking questions and making sure everyone else was taken care of. Such a giving soul. Jake's expressions were priceless. His excitement was palpable; his adoration of his wife and son was endearing. He was able to catch his son and present him up to Sarah. What an incredible moment! 

After Westley entered this world at 7:03 pm, he was welcomed by extended family. Talk about love. The squeals, the tears, the hugs, everyone was instantly in love. We joke that I will be taking Westley's senior pictures someday, and I truly hope that happens. Excited to spend this year documenting this sweet boy and his family.

Meet Jake and Sarah...and Westley (notice the nod to his namesake book - The Princess Bride). :) These three hold a special place in my heart as I will be with them from maternity photos, birth photos and all through Westley's first year! It's going to be an amazing journey to be part of and this is only the beginning! This is a couple who truly knows the meaning of building a family. Sarah gave the best compliment she could possibly give me when she posted this to instagram:

“Just got our maternity pictures back and I just want to share them all with you! Jonna is seriously the best photographer! Jake and I hate getting our pictures taken and they rarely turn out good, but she did an amazing job! We never felt stressed or unnatural, it was just like hanging out with a friend who happened to have a camera in her hands! can’t wait for our birth and newborn pictures!”
