Easter 2016 | Family Photography | Spokane

I really just love Easter. Last year I missed Easter with Marlow while I was in New York spending it with my sister. It was so much fun to see how much the experience with her changes each year. How much longer she can sit through church. How much more she wants to lead us in prayer at every meal. How much she enjoys being with family. How much she enjoyed running after eggs and not just stopping at each one to eat whatever was inside before moving to the next.

Mostly I am just so thankful for Easter. Thankful that we get four days off to spend reflecting from Good Friday through after Easter. Thankful that the miracle of Easter never ceases to amaze me and bring me a new lessons each year. I'm not the greatest with words, but I will share this post by a friend titled Easter Sunday Faith in a Friday World which especially moved me this year. Wishing you hope this spring!

Keenan Family Photos | Spokane

My dear friend Jenny, her infectious smile, her adorable husband and daughter, and the cutest little baby sister bump. I love how this random, impromptu side of the road location worked out after our other spot got squashed (thank you for trusting me and being flexible!). I've been photographing the Keenans since they were expecting Josie, and I am so honored when I get to continue photographing them as their family grows. It is truly the best. (Here's Jo last year in the beautiful fall leaves at Manito.) The awesome part of photographing year after year is each time Josie has gotten more and more comfortable with me. A little bit quiet and shy at first, I am so rewarded by her sweet smiles and the fact that she will come running towards me now! Love this trio and can't wait to meet baby! Thank you for being such sweet friends and the easiest peasiest of models. :)

Welcoming Callen "Cal" Scheele | Newborn Photography | Liberty Lake

Remember the Scheele family from that gorgeous sunset maternity shoot at Liberty Lake?! Well I am so excited to debut the little mister who has made them a family of four! Cal at six days new. Absolutely perfect and cuddly and sweet. I think his older sister, sweet Quinn, is the most enamored with him—look at all those kisses! :) I am so, so thankful to families like Katie and Ben's who allow me into their home at such a sacred, special time. Being in a family's home in the first week they've brought home their new baby is such a privilege and a joy. It always leaves me with such a feeling of hope and happiness and warmth. I'm so glad we captured this special moment in time for you, Scheele family. So excited to see this crew grow over the years!

Peters Family | Maternity Photos | Finch Arboretum, Spokane

Meet Jake and Sarah...and Westley (notice the nod to his namesake book - The Princess Bride). :) These three hold a special place in my heart as I will be with them from maternity photos, birth photos and all through Westley's first year! It's going to be an amazing journey to be part of and this is only the beginning! This is a couple who truly knows the meaning of building a family. Sarah gave the best compliment she could possibly give me when she posted this to instagram:

Just got our maternity pictures back and I just want to share them all with you! Jonna is seriously the best photographer! Jake and I hate getting our pictures taken and they rarely turn out good, but she did an amazing job! We never felt stressed or unnatural, it was just like hanging out with a friend who happened to have a camera in her hands! can’t wait for our birth and newborn pictures!

I am so honored to be a part of this fun-loving, family-centered, laid-back couple's journey with their son. Please send positive thoughts their way for a healthy, happy birth coming soon.
