Parker | One Year Photos | Baby's First Year Collection

I just adore these little ladies. So excited to share miss Parker's one year photos! Her spunk, her determination, even her cute little serious scowl face. haha But my favorites are all her cuddles - with her big sis (melt!) and mom and dad. She's the finishing piece to this family of four and it's such a joy to watch her grow. She is an example of when good things finally come about to a good family and doubles the size of her mama's and dada's hearts. <3

Check out the series of Parker's first year here; maternity photos, newborn photos, six moth photos!

Owen's Newborn Photos | Tri-Cities Newborn Photography

Meet sweet baby Owen. And his adoring family. Sometimes in life we just win the friend lottery, and such it is with the Maiers. I love these five and am thankful for them keeping it real as parents and friends. Three kids, one crazy vizsla, and big hearts for everyone. These photos are a perfect example of why I love doing lifestyle newborn photos in people's homes. The real moments here are precious. They are the details they will remember. Big brother and sister poking and prodding at brother. Mom getting clobbered by kids while trying to have a quiet moment. Everyone piled into bed together. Big laughs. Snacks. Sweet babies who grow too fast.

Big Moves - Spokane House Before & Afters

We've been totally MIA this summer! Exciting transitions and changes required us to focus on family and less on social media. :) I suppose that's a great thing. ;) Let's catch up!

We moved! At the end of June we sold our Spokane house - Jorgensen Cottage - as we affectionately called it. It was a real diamond in the rough and sat on the market for nearly a year. Apparently no one was crazy enough to take it on. Hello, us. It was a true labor of love. (Mostly for Donald. Love you!) It was full of charm, cape cod 30s style but built in the 70s, and the backyard was a quarter of an acre dream on a private corner lot on the South Hill. So rare!

The house sold in two days in a great sellers market. A week before closing, Donald was presented with an opportunity that could take us back to Tri-Cities, closer to family and long-time friends. We went for it!

THANK YOU to all of our awesome friends and clients who have made life in Spokane for the last four years wonderful! We will be back to visit very often. :) Please be in touch!

To our new and old friends and neighbors in Tri-Cities, hello! We're pumped to be here. I will keep offering my photography! SIGN UP here to receive my Tri-Cities newsletters for priority notification of mini sessions and special events.

Enjoy some Before & Afters :)

Camilla | 6 Month Photos | Baby's First Year | Spokane

You're just not ready. Really. You're just now. To narrow down this blog post was about impossible. I could post Camilla's entire session because I just CANNOT get over it. I could photograph this smiley girl all day! I absolutely love the six month mark before they start burning down their baby rolls, before crawling, when they just smile at anything. It's such a joy to see my families and babies grow in their first year. The Baby's First Year Collection has been such a blessing for developing relationships with such amazing families. See you for your one year, Camilla!

Enjoy some pure baby goodness, big brown eyes, and gummy toothless smiles!

Chrissy & Eric | Engagement Mini Session | Spokane

This was the last session of Spring Mini Session Day. This was Chrissy & Eric's engagement photo session. This was an absolute spring downpour (seriously soaked in 2 minutes). And this was love. When you just keep dancing and twirling and kissing and laughing.

Oh my goodness, I cannot wait for their wedding at the Paulsen Penthouse this August. Is it wrong of me to secretly hope for a little rain? Just kidding, Chrissy ;) But seriously, when you love like this, a downpour turns into beauty and fun. I hope this spirit carries them their whole marriage!

Andrew | Newborn Photos | Seattle, WA

Introducing the sweet, bright-eyed Andrew! His just-as-sweet parents, Nicole and Raymond, hosted me in their Seattle home for Andrew's newborn session. I absolutely love being with families in those first days. Everything new. Completely in awe. We were lucky to have a combo of great light in a partly cloudy Seattle day, some awake time, some sleepy time, and some great family cuddles. A couple of my favorite photos are actually Raymond bouncing Andrew around the house (in the kitchen) to soothe him and one of Nicole holding her sleeping son, petting her cat, and looking lovingly into the eyes of her husband. These are the beautiful in between moments that make a family. Wishing the Loyolas a beautiful first year of life with Andrew, and a happy forever.
