Keenan Family Photos | Spokane

My dear friend Jenny, her infectious smile, her adorable husband and daughter, and the cutest little baby sister bump. I love how this random, impromptu side of the road location worked out after our other spot got squashed (thank you for trusting me and being flexible!). I've been photographing the Keenans since they were expecting Josie, and I am so honored when I get to continue photographing them as their family grows. It is truly the best. (Here's Jo last year in the beautiful fall leaves at Manito.) The awesome part of photographing year after year is each time Josie has gotten more and more comfortable with me. A little bit quiet and shy at first, I am so rewarded by her sweet smiles and the fact that she will come running towards me now! Love this trio and can't wait to meet baby! Thank you for being such sweet friends and the easiest peasiest of models. :)

Northrop Family | Outdoor Family Photos | Spokane

In looove with this new location — thanks to Kayla for finding it! My dear friend Kayla and I did a photographer family session swap, and it turned out great (see our photos on her fb page)! You guys, two families, 30 minutes, in and out. It was cold! Kayla and I met 3 years ago and almost 3 babies ago between us now. I'm so thankful for our chance meeting and unexpected friendship and photoging. Kayla is the heart of a good mom pal and embodies community over competition.
Enjoy their fall family photos - Andrew, Emerson, Kayla, and baby sister to be! The colors were perrrfect for this location! Emerson, you cutie patootie, can't wait to see you with your baby sister this spring! <3

Wirth Family | Manito Park | Spokane

Photographing friends and people you have crushes on, like Emily (sorry Jeff), make me totally nervous but in a great way. How amazing does my friend look. Omg. And Everett, you handsome little man (again, Jeff, you are not so bad either, but Everett doing duck lips). I am so thankful we were able to make family photos happen in a brisk 30 minutes basically in the parking lot of Manito (sometimes LAIR is happening in your planned location). You guys are wonderful, and I'm so excited for you to welcome baby sister in the coming months. Muah!

Planning Your Fall Family Photos & Fall Mini Session Day!

This is the busiest time of year for family photography in Spokane.  It's also my favorite time of the year - preparing for the holidays, thinking of gift ideas, trying (never really succeeding) to be prepared way in advance THIS YEAR. ;) In fact, that is what has inspired this blog post! As you are planning for holidays, cards, gifts and travel, I hope this helps with your fall family photos planning. Remember that print orders usually take 2-3 weeks, so you want to be prepared. Below is a look at fall family photos that took place during each week of the month from October to December. Is Spokane beautiful in the fall or what?! We are so spoiled! It's a total dream to photograph.

Speaking of which, as of now I have few weekend spots left. However, I will be taking a select number of week days shoots to make sure you get the portraits you need in time for holidays. Also, I will be having a Mini Session Day on Sunday, November 1stSign up here. Can't wait to see you and your growing families this year!
