Fitzpatrick Family | Family Photographer - Spokane - Manito

I am a seriously lucky girl. Meeting new families and friends like the Fitzpatricks and their extended family, makes me so happy! Seriously an absolute joy of a family. Katie, your smile and laugh are infectious! I love the way Erick makes you and Landon laugh. And oh, Landon, you cutie pie! Watch out world.

Baby Jaxson and Family | Family Photography - Spokane - Manito Park

Fall is in the air and it's time for family get togethers! I am already drinking hot drinks, wearing boots, kicking around leaves in the yard with my little one, and planning for the holidays. I was so excited that Julie wanted to take her photos in Manito. The park is in full fall force right now and we made sure to take advantage. :) I was also so happy that LeAnna and baby Jaxson flew from Texas to be here and got to be part of family photos! Jaxson brings so much joy to the family, so I decided this post should be titled after him. :) Such a kind, funny, warm family. I could've spent the whole day with this crew. Enjoy your family time together. Happy Anniversary to Julie and Mitch!

Punkin' at the Patch

Can we first acknowledge the miracle it is that I actually remembered my camera for this first-ever trip to the pumpkin patch?! Seriously. You'd think I'd take photos of my little love all the time but it's seriously hard to keep up. I thought I'd share this set since it includes some of my favorite things - fall colors, pumpkins that become decoration until they wilt, my favorite two loves, and new memories for M! I can just hear her shouting "punkin! punkin!" and "chicken chicken bock bock!" Oh man, I love it. She keeps us constantly entertained to say the least. Enjoy the fall, friends!

Ivey Family Welcomes Baby Clara | Family Photography - Spokane

My husband and I met Mackenzie and Colby two years ago in our birth class when they were pregnant with their first daughter. Soon to follow were many, many late-night, first-time-mom text messages back and forth between Mackenzie and I. Is this normal? Are you guys doing this? When did this happen for you? It was an absolute Godsend! I have enjoyed seeing Mack and Colby grow their family. They are great parents, friends and all around wonderful people. I'm so happy to have ever met you two! And, I am so honored to photograph your now family of four with the addition of baby Clara. Libby is a precious big sister, and I can't wait to see your loving family continue to be blessed over the years.

Daddy / Daughter Lake Times | Chelan, WA

The family cabin at Lake Chelan holds special memories for everyone in my husband's family. As of Marlow, it's been in the family for 5 generations! For us, it's where we told his family that we were pregnant, on Father's Day two years ago. It's where Marlow's grandparents spend most summer weekends relaxing. This summer marked Marlow's first summer camping stay at the cabin. She loved going fast on the water in Grandpa's boat! She loved feeding ducks, making her cousin push her around in her car, putting her feet in the water and running about. It was the first of many great times there for Mar. It was especially sweet to see my husband able to show his daughter around where he and his brother used to play for hours in the water "fighting" the waves. Enjoy a couple pics from the weekend!

Martin Family Welcomes Baby Archer - Birth Photos - Spokane

Here is the photo story of the birth of little mister Archer Thayer Martin.

When Ashley and Toby asked me to photograph their son's birth I was...um...shocked, overjoyed, scared, thrilled, and mostly honored. I truly admire the way they approached this pregnancy and birth with such calm—making informed decisions where they could and letting things happen as they would otherwise. I truly believe that pregnancy and birth can affect a woman dramatically. I sincerely pray that every woman could have an experience that leaves her feeling proud, empowered and in awe of the beautiful miracle we get to be a part of. It doesn't matter if your birth is medicated, unassisted, at home, at a hospital, or in an operating room. It's yours. It's beautiful. And you can take part in it. I could witness a baby being born every day and never get enough! For Ashley and Toby, it turned out to be a beautiful day full of quiet, calm, peace and love. It was just the outcome everyone had hoped for—healthy and happy baby boy welcomed lovingly into the arms of his happy parents, sister, and family.

It's what Ashley said to me after seeing these photos that will stick with me for a lifetime:

It was such a blessing to have you there with us and to capture such an important day in our life. Not only was it the day we completed our family and brought Archer into the world, it was healing for me personally to have such a positive birth experience. Having the photos to document the details of that experience gives me something tangible as a reminder of this whole journey - like the end of one chapter and the beginning of a new one. The photos are truly amazing.
