17/52 Buds

Sometimes you just have to hang out with your buddies in the backyard flower patch. No big deal, guys. We were so happy to have our friends visit us this last weekend! It was the first time I was able to get these boys in front of my camera, too, which made me super happy.

Though as parents we are always tired, it rained, and it was chaotic, adorable fun, there's nothing like a weekend with friends that's full of laughs so hard they make you pee your pants and too many snacks and staying in your comfy clothes all weekend. Booyah.

The personalities in this one omg.

Sullivan Family | Family Photos | Downtown Spokane

Meet little mister Stone and his bigs, Drew and Tori. I am so thankful to have done this shoot. Tori and I both grew up in good ol' G-town. Our parents have actually known each other for decades. And now here we all are, married and kids and both in Spokane. This family is beyond just adorable - they are happy and smart and friendly - and just lovely to be around. Stone is a ball of joy. Truly.

You may have spotted some familiar downtown Spokane sites for this photo shoot - Barrister Winery, Our Lady of Lourdes Church, and the Masonic Center area.

8/52 "Shnuggles"

This about sums up our week. Lots of snuggles and movies in bed while getting over a yucky cold bug. I'll admit it was nice to be forced into some one on one time while the rest of the world goes on being busy. A brief, momentary pause. Thankful for this little girl who lights up our lives. Thankful for her resilience and health.

7/52 Sweet Valentines

Sometimes on Valentine's Day you just have to hang out with your best pal and make sugar cookies or "cakes" if you're Marlow. One little lady decorates meticulously, the other licks frosting and sprinkles. This was gal-entines ya'll.

I have to say these are the days I dream about. These are those days. Messy, exhausting, full of giggles.

Making a commitment to document life one week at a time, every week of 2015. These black and white family lifestyle photos were taken in my kitchen and dining room at home in Spokane with two adorable kiddos.

Maddox makes Four | Newborn & Family Lifestyle Photography, Spokane Valley

Oh you guys, newborns make me all mushy and gushy and I just love them! Meet sweet baby Maddox, all 10 pounds of him. :) He's a big boy and he brings big love to his family. I photographed the Fergusons when they were just three in the fall—see those fall, urban, family/maternity photos here. Now they are a family of four. Alissa, you just glow as a mother. Seeing you with baby Maddox almost makes me cry, it's just so sweet—full of grace and patience. Meanwhile, thank goodness Piper and Ryan are there to keep us all laughing. Enjoy this chaotic, crazy, awesome, fun, love-filled time of life. Love to see your family grow and grow! Congrats again on your adorable new little.

We kept this Spokane newborn photo session super simple by doing in-home, lifestyle photos in about an hour in their Spokane Valley home.

New year, more new babies, please!

This is baby Ben and his big brother, Jack, when Ben was just 4 days new! I love the feel of a home when a new baby has just arrived. Mommies move a little slower, voices are softer, daddies are home, everyone is in awe. It's just pure magic.

Sleepy little Ben was such a cuddly, perfect joy. Brother Jack was obviously in pure adoration of his new buddy. Jami and Drew, you have quite the adorable crew happening. I can't wait to see how it grows. Wishing you a wonderful 2015.
