1/52 Marlow's first time sledding | Backyard

In an effort to be more mindful and attentive this year, I'm going to be posting one photo of my kiddo during each week of the year. I need to force myself to take more photos of my own family and document the big and the little moments, so I thought this would be a fun way to do it! Of course, I'm a few days late getting started, but I'm not holding it against myself. ;) What better way to start these 52 weeks than with a first - Marlow's first time sledding! And in our own backyard. She loved it, of course. Just look at that face!

I also love that we got some kiss pictures in to remind us of how incredibly affectionate she is at this age! She loves to give kisses and hugs, kiss one cheek and then "other cheek," ears, even hair - lol - I will not complain no matter how wet her nose is or what food is lingering on those little lips. ;)

New year, more new babies, please!

This is baby Ben and his big brother, Jack, when Ben was just 4 days new! I love the feel of a home when a new baby has just arrived. Mommies move a little slower, voices are softer, daddies are home, everyone is in awe. It's just pure magic.

Sleepy little Ben was such a cuddly, perfect joy. Brother Jack was obviously in pure adoration of his new buddy. Jami and Drew, you have quite the adorable crew happening. I can't wait to see how it grows. Wishing you a wonderful 2015.

The perfect Christmas week location! Krista and I went to high school together and just happened to reconnect via Instagram to set up this pre-Christmas shoot. I just love this family! Lincoln's big eyes just kill me - I could photograph him all day, such a cutie! My favorite is how much he loved smelling the flowers and trees. Which, really, sends a pretty good message for this time of year. :) Enjoy your week and have a very Merry Christmas everyone!!

Thayer Family | Family Photography, Spokane

You guys....grandparents loving on their grandkids, sisters being goofy and lovey, aunts and uncles showering kiddos with love, gathered around the fire pit in the backyard, family traditions, travel....this is the good stuff holidays are made of. As I'm anxiously awaiting to be reunited with my family for the holiday, these pic just warm my heart. So thankful to the Thayer clan for making these family photos a priority—and to think it only took about 45 minutes right in their own back yard—perfect!

Martin Family Fall Photos | Riverside State Park, Bowl & Pitcher, Spokane

A family for which I'm so very thankful - hello, Martin family. Thank you for making such adorable kids (sorry not sorry for how much I must photograph them). Thank you for agreeing to this amazingly beautiful location. Thank you for such perfect outfit combinations. Thanks for all of it! This photo shoot just goes to show that even with the fall leaves gone, Spokane is still looking gorgeous for photos!! More of the Martins here: maternity, birth.

Please all have a blessed and safe Thanksgiving holiday! Let us remember that we all have much to be thankful for and pray for those that have less or struggle to find a thankful heart. XO
