The Ryan Family | Twins | Spokane

Meet the Ryan twin boys! The adorable and sweet sons of our long-time friends, Devin and Kim. I had no idea how my first time with twins would go, but it was a dream! Harvin and Harley are full of smiles and laughs. I was pretty much in double-baby heaven. Love this family to pieces and am just so happy to see what they've brought to Devin and Kim. I'm so, so happy for you four! Thank you for spending your one year old and fall family photos with me!

Farris Family Photos | Downtown Spokane

In LOOVE with the Farris Family's fall family photos! Great light, great locations, great outfits, and an all around great family! I had the incredible honor of photographing baby Caleb's birth just four months ago - see those photos here. It was so fun to get together and see how much Caleb has grown, Abby as a big sister, and just how in love they all are. Caleb is full of laughs and grins, and I can't even handle it! You guys make me smile and laugh, and I love every time we get to do photographs together. Thank you for a wonderful morning together!

Kraft Family Fall Photos | Downtown Spokane

You might remember the Kraft family from here, here and here (I kinda never let you go;) ). Clearly I've photographed their family a lot, but the most amazing thing about my relationships with my clients/friends and namely, you, Krafters, is that I am given a huge blessing by being able to journey with your family throughout the years. This has never meant more to me than it does now. This week has been particularly challenging for our city. I hope you are all recovering from the aftermath of the storm that hit this week. But for this family, the storm had already begun and it will continue for a while. My friends, the Krafts, are facing a unique time and taking on one of the biggest challenges of their lives so far. They are bright, bold, brave, and beautiful in all ways. This year we had key timing with this shoot—it was on a good day, it was in great light, and it was a perfect representation of how them now—bright, brave, bold and beautiful, no matter what gritty challenges come and go in the background. Love you guys. Glad to have captured this moment in time for you.

Duff Family | Fall Family Photos on Manito Blvd. | Spokane

This was the perfect blustery afternoon to stroll down historic Manito Blvd and to the park! Duff family, you've stolen my heart. So easy going and full of life! Kids running everywhere having a great time, playing in the leaves — just what fall is all about! I cannot wait to photograph this crew again through the changing Spokane seasons.

Be prepared for all the cuteness. :)

36/52 A morning with the Zanol boys | Tri-Cities |

When we moved to Spokane from Tri-Cities nearly 3 1/2 years ago now (wow time flies), we knew what we'd miss the most. Our friends. Friends like these with whom laughter is easy. Mornings are lazy. Pajamas are the dress code.

We visited the Zanols a couple weeks ago to see their new-to-them house. I decided to wear my camera around as we toured the property. This was the first part of our week-long vacation and I mostly intended on documenting it for ourselves. It turns out there were little moments and sights that ended up being so precious to all of us.

This is the house where Noah and Eli will grow up, will go from running around in capes to bringing friends over for camp outs and bon fires, where they'll take pictures with their prom dates on the grand staircase, where their parents will have put blood, sweat and tears into making it a home, where overgrown and neglected garden beds will bear fruit for years, where family memories will be made.

In all of about 15 minutes of walking around and watching the kids come and go, we ended up with a sweet assortment of photos that capture a Saturday morning in the life of the Zanol boys during this season of their lives in their new house. Marlow obviously had a blast with her buds. I hope they are friends forever. Here's to more un-shoots. :)

Smith Family | Family Photos at Tubbs Hill | Coeur d'Alene

Meet this Smith family! They drove from the Seattle area then got up early the next morning to meet me for family photos at Tubbs Hill in Coeur d'Alene. And it was so worth it! We beat the wind, rain, smoke and enjoyed a nice cool morning.
Katie and I have actually been "internet friends" for a few years. Watching and supporting each other as we moved into motherhood. It was so wonderful to actually spend time with her and her family in person. Warren kept us entertained with his adventuresome spirit and charm. Makena just made me want to squeeze her in all her preciousness! Katie and Carl - thank you for making this photo shoot happen and happy FIVE year anniversary!!
